1. General Provisions
The Global Talent Platform is an international talent and project selection organized by Designworldnews. By completing and submitting the application form, you acknowledge and accept all these terms in advance. Participation in our platform is entirely free of charge; no fees are requested at the application or publication stages.
By submitting the application form and including your project in the system, we reserve the right to inform you about platform processes, jury announcements and future selection news via email. You may opt out of these Global Talent Platform community newsletters at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of the emails sent to you.
2. Eligibility and Project Criteria
Our platform accepts built architectural works as well as high-quality renderings, concept designs, graphic design portfolios and fashion illustrations with equal enthusiasm. Completion of a project is not a requirement; priority is given to aesthetic value, innovative perspective and the power of visual narrative.
2.1 Originality
Applications must be submitted by the original owner of the project, whether an architect, designer or studio. In applications made on behalf of third parties, the responsibility for obtaining legal permissions rests solely with the participant.
2.2 Language
Due to our global jury and media network, all applications and written project descriptions must be in English.
3. Requirements and Application Process
3.1 Applications must be uploaded to the system by midnight (23:59) on the officially announced deadline.
3.2 All submissions are accepted exclusively through the official digital form on www.designworldnews.net. The accuracy of the personal and corporate contact information provided in the form is the responsibility of the participant.
3.3 Project and Collection Integrity: Each participant may enter the system with a single application. However, “Product Families,” “Design Series,” or “Holistic Collections” consisting of parts that complement each other conceptually, aesthetically or functionally are accepted under a single project umbrella. It is essential that such works be presented as a single file to reflect the unique story and integrity of the design.
3.4 Post-Submission Editing: No technical or textual changes can be made to the content once the application form has been submitted and approved.
4. Visual and Presentation Standards
The evaluation process will be conducted solely based on the submitted visual materials and technical descriptions. Applications must include at least one lead image that clearly reflects the character of the project, collection or design. As the Global Talent Platform supports all forms of creativity, professional photographs are accepted on equal terms with high-quality renderings and digital illustrations (CGI).
It is essential that the submitted visuals are original and faithful to the spirit of the design. Digital retouches that do not disrupt aesthetic integrity are permitted. However, visuals containing misleading or unrealistic representations may be excluded from evaluation. Designworldnews is under no obligation to request additional visuals or technical files from the participant; therefore, ensuring the submission is complete at the initial stage is the participant’s responsibility.
5. Categories and Award Hierarchy
5.1 Disciplines
The Global Talent Platform features a wide range of categories under the main headings of Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design, Fashion Design and Visual Communication Arts. The current list of categories is presented in detail on the platform’s homepage.
5.2 Participation Limit
To ensure focus on a participant’s strongest work, each entrant may join the platform with one main application (or one holistic collection). However, the selected project can be included and evaluated in up to two different categories that align with its content (e.g., both “Product Design” and “Sustainable Design”).
5.3 Interdisciplinary Grand Prizes
Projects that stand out within the categories of each main discipline (Architecture, Design, Fashion, etc.) will be nominated by the jury for the “Global Talent of the Year” title. This prestigious title is awarded based not only on the aesthetics of the design but also on its vision and the value it adds to the industry.
5.4 Special Selection and Editorial Approval
Projects that place in categories or reach the shortlist will be reviewed by the Designworldnews editorial team and included in the “Global Excellence” list, which is serviced to international media organizations.
5.5 Honorary Awards
The platform reserves the right to present the “Visionary Designer Award” to visionary names who are not open to application but have entered the radar of our jury and editors.
6. Technical Preliminary Review and Development Process
6.1 Academic and Technical Review
Every project uploaded to the Global Talent Platform undergoes a preliminary review based on the technical criteria set by the selection committee (feasibility, ergonomics, material knowledge and presentation technique). This review ensures that the project is technically represented in its complete form before the jury.
6.2 Professional Feedback
If technical drawing inadequacies, gaps in the functional narrative of the design or structural errors in the presentation files are identified as a result of the review, technical feedback will be provided to the participant to bring these sections in line with international design standards.
6.3 Improvement and Future Application
Projects that do not enter the main selection in the current application period may re-apply in the next cycle of the platform (within the twice-yearly cycle) with updated files by completing the suggested technical improvements. This process supports the maturation stage of a design from “idea to implementation.”
7. Evaluation
7.1 Shortlist Evaluation
Projects on the longlist are scored by our international selection committee. Scoring is conducted digitally based on innovation, technical success and design vision. The highest-scoring projects are determined as “Shortlist” candidates.
7.2 Final and Confirmation of Winners
The main jury identifies the winners of each category and the projects that will receive the “Global Talent of the Year” title from among the shortlisted candidates and confirms the results.
8. Intellectual Property and Publication Rights
8.1 Ownership
The ownership rights to all types of design and intellectual property submitted belong entirely to the participant. The Global Talent Platform makes no claim of ownership over participants’ copyrights.
8.2 Promotion and License
For the purpose of announcing the success of the project on a global scale, the participant grants the platform indefinite permission to publish images and project texts on www.designworldnews.net channels and social media networks.
8.3 Warranty and Liability
The participant declares that the work submitted is original and does not infringe upon the rights of third parties. Any legal responsibility that may arise belongs to the participant.
9. General Conditions and Responsibility
