About Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez

Based in Milan and Munich, Matteo Thun & Partners is renowned for its holistic approach to design that focuses on honouring the ‘genius loci’ – the spirit of place – in every project. Founded in 1984 by Matteo Thun, the studio has grown to a team of over 70 interdisciplinary professionals who blend architecture, interior and product design to meet the unique needs of global clients.

Antonio Rodriguez, a Spanish-born designer, joined Matteo Thun & Partners in 2003. With a background in product design and a deep understanding of both the European and Asian markets, Rodriguez established the MTD-R design studio with Thun, expanding their influence to industrial and architectural design projects worldwide.

Matteo Thun has had a distinguished career as both architect and designer. A founding member of the influential Memphis Group, he has taught design in Vienna and worked as Art Director at Swatch. His creative vision has helped Matteo Thun & Partners grow into several companies such as MTLC, MTD-R and MTD-R China, each focussing on innovative architecture, interior and product design.
