Salone Satellite 2026 for Young Designers
Salone Satellite 2026 positions the experimental field of young design as a distinct layer within the fair.
The theme of Salone Satellite theme 2026, dedicated to designers under 35, is “Craftsmanship and Innovation.”
Local techniques, slow and bespoke production, skilled labor, and recycled materials stand out, reflecting broader craftsmanship and innovation design approaches.
Craftsmanship is no longer a nostalgia, but a form of knowledge, vision, and cultural value.
The prominence of this theme within a global fair establishes a direct connection with the circular economy and raw material traceability.
Curated by Marva Griffin Wilshire, the fair has hosted more than 700 young designers to date. This year, 23 international schools and universities participate, notably from Japan, Italy, Germany, and China, reinforcing the presence of young designers Salone Satellite within the global design context.
