Airiva Wind Turbine Wall Energy Vertical Facades

Airiva wind turbine wall ;  designed by visionary architect Joe Doucet, offers significant potential for urban energy production. This modular wind power project, which functions as a smart wind energy system, consists of modular wall segments with vertical-axis, spiral-shaped blades that rotate independently. Airiva wind turbine wall  his innovative design provides an effective solution to the energy demands of large cities, bringing a new dimension to urban energy generation.

modular wind power

Airiva modular wind power energy system integrates seamlessly into various urban environments, including building facades, rooftops, and highways. Its unique design allows for remotely managed, on-site wind energy generation.

Unlike traditional wind turbines, its low rotation speed guarantees silence and safety. The system can be monitored and managed remotely, which makes it a truly smart wind energy system.

sustainable energy storage

From a sustainability perspective, the system is groundbreaking, with a goal of using 80% recycled and post-consumer materials in its production. Joe Doucet‘s Airiva turbine wall is designed for city streets and buildings.

to clean energy innovation

The system’s modular wind power design allows it to be scaled to various lengths and applications. Designed specifically for urban and suburban environments, the system is suitable for commercial buildings, public facilities, and transportation networks. The system also features sustainable energy storage and end hubs that house all control and communication systems, offering a truly decentralized solution.

Its aesthetic appeal is one of its core strengths. Rather than creating an industrial feel, these wind turbines function as architectural elements that enrich a city’s landscape and become part of it. The project’s commitment to clean energy innovation aims to transform how urban areas produce power.

Joe Doucet

The Airiva project is the work of three co-founders. Lead designer and inventor Joe Doucet’s design philosophy focuses on finding solutions to daily and societal challenges, believing that “design can play a larger role in innovation and problem-solving.” His portfolio includes successful projects like the Climate Responsive Paint that changes color with the seasons and a series of crash-proof 3D-printed concrete benches for Times Square.

Airiva Renewables

Joining him as co-founder and CEO is Jeff Stone, a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of experience building high-growth companies. Stone has extensive expertise in strategic planning and operations, having raised over $120 million in venture capital for his previous ventures. The company’s third co-founder, Richard Hinzel, has extensive experience in journalism, advertising, and branding across multiple continents.

This partnership combines Doucet’s innovative design vision with the business acumen of Stone and Hinzel, positioning Airiva not just as a design concept but also as a sustainable and forward-thinking commercial enterprise. Airiva Renewables, a private company dedicated to transforming the wind energy field, was officially established in 2021.
