The Magic Touch of Techno 3D Fabric
One of the most notable features of the Roche Bobois Bubble sofa is that it is entirely handmade, utilizing the specially developed Techno 3D fabric.
This innovative textile is designed to perfectly conform to the sofa’s complex, rounded shapes. The honeycomb structure, made mostly from wool, grants the sofa lightness, flexibility, and exceptional resistance to deformation.
Advantages of the Honeycomb Structure; The honeycomb structure not only provides an aesthetic look but also adds durability and flexibility to the fabric, ensuring that the sofa maintains its original form for years.
The fabric is tightly woven yet highly elastic, with a soft honeycomb wool layer applied to a sturdy black jersey. The seat and backrest are made from a solid fir frame with dual-density foam. For added comfort, the seat and back are cushioned with HR elastic straps, polyurethane foam and varnished wood for the base.
The Bubble collection also includes matching armchairs and poufs in a variety of colours. The latest collection now features Techno 4D fabric, which creates a bioluminescent effect.

For the 2024-25 season, S Monaco and Roche Bobois have partnered to create a stunning VIP lounge at the Stade Louis-II, featuring the Bubble and Edito sofas designed by Sacha Lakic.
In 2022, photographer and director Dean Alexander shot a Roche Bobois ad featuring a carousel in a vibrant Parisian garden and showcasing a selection of Roche Bobois designs.
Born in 1964, Sacha Lakic is a French automotive, furniture and product designer. Based in Paris and Luxembourg, Lakic is known for his “Onda” furniture line and Venturi electric cars. His designs combine speed, futuristic technologies and an elegant, sculptural quality. Lakic began collaborating with Roche Bobois in 1995.
