Salone Raritas 2027
SALONE DEL MOBILE.MILANO 2027
Salone Raritas 2027 returns to Salone del Mobile.Milano with an expanded international programme dedicated to collectible design, one-off pieces, limited-edition objects, antiques and high-end craftsmanship. Paris-based architect and designer India Mahdavi is among the first announced participants.
The inaugural edition in 2026 featured works by 59 designers represented by 28 galleries from 12 countries.
The programme is curated by Annalisa Rosso, with exhibition design by Formafantasma.
Unlike large-scale industrial exhibitions, Raritas focuses on objects produced in small quantities, requiring specialist craft techniques or developed through direct collaborations between designers and manufacturers.
Its target market, however, is closely connected to architecture and interior design. Hotels, residential developments and private interiors increasingly commission distinctive objects and limited-edition furniture as part of their interior projects.

India Mahdavi at Salone Raritas 2027
Paris-based architect and designer India Mahdavi established her own studio in 2000 and works across architecture, interiors, furniture, objects and exhibition design. Her projects include Sketch in London, the Piano Nobile at Villa Medici in Rome and the PoMo Museum in Trondheim.
Alongside her commissioned projects, Mahdavi runs an independent design and production programme in Paris.
Her Project Room, opened in 2020, provides a space for one-off works, limited editions and collaborations with craftspeople.
Mahdavi’s participation is significant for Raritas because her practice combines collectible objects, commercial commissions and complete interior projects.
The 2027 programme will examine how these different forms of production operate within the same professional marke
