Salone del Mobile 2027 Sets Its Sights on New Markets
Salone del Mobile 2027 will take place at Fiera Milano Rho from 13 to 18 April, introducing Salone Contract with a masterplan by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten I OMA. The return of Euroluce, an expanded Salone Raritas and a growing international programme are among the main developments of the 65th edition.
Salone del Mobile 2027 comes at a challenging time for the international furniture industry. Slowing exports, inflationary pressures and increasingly selective demand are changing the conditions under which manufacturers operate. In response, the fair is placing greater emphasis on industrial production, large-scale architectural projects and international business relationships.
Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace3.0 and S.Project remain the core exhibitions. Euroluce, the biennial lighting exhibition, returns, while SaloneSatellite continues to connect emerging designers with manufacturers.

The most significant development is Salone Contract, a new initiative combining a masterplan by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten I OMA with market research from PwC. The platform aims to bring furniture and design manufacturers into direct contact with architects, property developers, investors and decision-makers involved in major projects.
Salone Raritas returns for its second edition, connecting collectible design and specialist craftsmanship with the professional interiors market. Meanwhile, the World Tour continues across cities including Shanghai, London, Miami, Riyadh and Lagos, extending the Salone’s international activities ahead of the April exhibition.
Salone del Mobile 2027 An International Industry Platform
The developments planned for 2027 build on the Salone’s established industrial network.
In 2026, Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace3.0 and S.Project brought together 915 exhibitors from 32 countries. International companies accounted for 38.6 per cent of exhibitors, while 139 brands were either making their debut or returning to the fair.
Overall, the 2026 event welcomed 316,342 visitors from 167 countries. International trade visitors accounted for 68 per cent of total attendance.

These figures are particularly significant for smaller manufacturers, family-owned businesses and specialist producers that do not have the extensive international distribution networks of major brands.
For larger companies, Milan remains an important destination for product launches and international visibility. For smaller manufacturers, the fair provides opportunities to establish direct relationships with architects, distributors, property developers and clients from different countries.
The 2027 programme aims to strengthen these connections while introducing dedicated platforms for different production models and professional requirements.
Salone Contract will address large-scale architectural and commercial projects, while Euroluce will bring together lighting manufacturers, designers and researchers. Salone Raritas will concentrate on collectible design and specialist production, and SaloneSatellite will continue supporting the relationship between emerging talent and the manufacturing industry.
Together, these initiatives form the principal programme of the 65th edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano.
